My name is C. Cabana,
and I'm not average. I'm not a normal teenager. I think big, I dream big and I work hard to make those big dreams a reality. I run a music distribution company called CabanaCore and I'm inspired by all things technical.
I began pursuing my love for web design in 2011 when I built my first website. The website was about myself and it was a playground for me to fool around and do whatever I wanted. My peers saw my website and liked it which encouraged me to continue working on my dream. In 2013, the website was shut down.
In May 11, 2016, I created my first YouTube channel called CC Vlogger. I made vlogs on the channel and I learned a lot about video editing and camera gear. The channel was something I loved doing for fun as I could spread my creative ability into a public work that I could share with the world. The channel picked up a following and gained over 200 subscribers, which was a milestone for me as it meant 200 people loved the things I created.
In December 15th, 2018, a hate page was made against me by my middle school peers on Instagram, in an effort to 'teach me the cost of fame'. The page was run by 4 administrators. My school authority found out about the ongoing situation and I was questioned about it. The page administrators were identified and punished and the page was shut down by Instagram, but at the same time, so was I. The school alerted my parents in a convincing email stating my YouTube channel caused me to be the reason I was harassed. I was pressured to shut down my channel by the school for a while and this event was nothing more than proof that their claims were true, thus leading to the deletion of CC Vlogger on December 21, 2018.
This was a hard thing to go through. I had been bullied in middle school since I arrived there and this was an example of how they won. I lost faith in everything and my depression grew bigger than I could've imagined.
I transferred to another school in February 2018 and I found many new friends there that made me the person I've become. The new school wasn't just a transfer to another school, it was a transfer to a new life, and a better one nonetheless. It was for once in a long time that I felt at peace and safe in my school.
With my new friends and new found motivation and self confidence in myself, I started a new YouTube channel called C. Cabana in October 25th, 2018. The channel is my biggest achievement to this day, passing over 600 subscribers in the time of writing.
In December 14, 2018, I founded CabanaCore Media Group to distribute, protect and sell artists and their works.
That leads us to today, April 23rd, 2019. Let's see how much I can do in this year.
